A micelle consists of a number of polymers (very long molecules). Each polymer has a head that attracts water and a tail that repels it. In water, micelles form a cluster with the tails pointing inward and the heads outward. This forms the package in which the vitamins are wrapped. Due to the hydrophilic outer layer, these packages dissolve easily in water. The packaging protects the vitamins against the acidic environment of the stomach, among other things. This technology also makes it possible to transport the vitamins directly to the correct cells in the body.
